'TAPPED'
Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 7pm

Beginning May 3, 2012, this series of nine films, presented in partnership with the Watershed Agricultural Council, looks at the relationship between humans and the world around us.

Our choices and actions have an impact on everything from the food we put in our bodies (‘The Greenhorns’ and ‘Truck Farm’), where it comes from (‘Vanishing of the Bees’, ‘What’s on Your Plate’ and ‘Dirt! The Movie’) and the water we rely on for life itself (‘Tapped’ and ‘Reclaiming our Water’). The film ‘GoodWood’ examines deforestation and ‘Messages from Water’ makes an interesting assertion that human thoughts and words can imprint on the way a water crystal freezes and features the first ever documentation of that process on film.

ADMISSION to all screenings in the ‘Impact Film Series’ are free.
Donations support The Roxbury Arts Group and The Conservation Easement Stewardship Fund.

Register to attend each film at EventBrite ( http://impact-film-series-bees.eventbrite.com/ ) to be entered in a raffle for a Pure Catskills goodie bag.

'TAPPED'
Thursday, May 17 at 7pm

Is access to clean drinking water a basic human right, or a commodity that should be bought and sold like any other article of commerce? Stephanie Soechtig's debut feature is an unflinching examination of the big business of bottled water.

A powerful portrait of the lives affected by the bottled water industry, this revelatory film features those caught at the intersection of big business and the public's right to water.
